The Garathon

Raising for No5 Young People and Alzheimer's Society

Event date:

Little Legs, Long Run: The Garathon

As a mortgage broker, Gary's used to dealing with big numbers - but 26.2 miles is a whole different story! We love to remind him about his "little legs," but what he may lack in height, he more than makes up for in heart!

Gary is taking on The London Marathon to raise vital funds for No5, an incredible charity providing mental health support to young people. A portion of the funds will also be supporting Alzheimer’s care and research in memory of his mum and dad.

Every donation helps get those little legs across the finish line. We've set a target of £5,000: £1 for every 10 steps towards that finish line. Thank you so much for your support, your laughs, and your generosity!

About No5 Young People
Since 1971, No5 has been providing early intervention counselling and outreach for young people aged 11-25 who live, work or study in the ‘RG’ postcode area.
They offer free, confidential, open-access mental health support and counselling face-to-face, online and in local secondary schools. They also have a programme of outreach support delivered by our Young Ambassadors who create online content and support to help young people feel better able to take charge of their mental health and feel more in control.

About Alzheimer's Society
Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them.
There are 700,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2025.
