About us
Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary was founded in August 1986 at Shaw Lane, Markfield, Leicestershire by the Redmile family.
All the Animals in the care of the Sanctuary need support, we have many cats, kittens, rabbits and poultry who are all looking for their new forever homes. For our elderly and sick animals at the sanctuary, there are many ways in which you can help them. You can do this by becoming a friend of Redgate and Sponsoring an animal, or if you feel you can help more, please contact the Sanctuary.
The Red-Mile 35
Event dates: Thursday 1st July 2021 – Tuesday 31st August 2021
Join our Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary challenge, The Red-Mile 35. This celebrates the 35 years since the Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary was founded, 1986 by the Redmile family.
We're asking our supporters to walk, run or cycle 35 minutes every day or a total of 35 miles this July/August.
Help us raise £5000 to fund improvements of 7 enclosures for 60+ livestock and domestic animals including goats, sheep and chickens. Improvements to our pond and an aviary refurbishment. We also need to make field improvements for our 2 pigs.
