Event date:
The walk will take place from the Visitor Centre at Carsington Water on Friday 4 September 2026; registration starts at 9.30 am and the walk starts at 10.00 am. We will be walking the 8-mile loop of the reservoir. A shorter walk will be available if preferred.
We appreciate your support more than ever. Therefore, if you can’t join us, please consider sponsoring the Careline Team. It really doesn’t matter how much, as every penny counts and means a great deal.

About us
Careline Calling
Charity number: 1068801
Careline is a registered charity based in Ashbourne (No. 1068801). We offer a free telephone befriending service for people living in the Derbyshire Dales and East Staffordshire who are in need of extra support. Calls are available every day of the year including weekends and holidays.
The service is managed by Hannah and Carolyn with the support of our fantastic Trustees and volunteers. Our aim is to make the lives of those we call a little better by offering friendship and peace of mind to their family and friends.
Our large team of volunteers provides friendship, greater social interaction and helps give our members the confidence to remain living independently. We monitor people’s well-being and pass on useful information about the services available to them in their local community.
Our service is free and available every day of the year including weekends and bank holidays.
