The North Sea 250 Crossing

Raising for Fulham Reach Boat Club and The Osborne Trust

Event dates:

250km. 50 hours. No stopping.

On 19 June 2026, four of us — Nathalie, Marine, Eyup and Iain — will row 250km across the North Sea from the UK to the Netherlands.
One boat.
50 hours.
No stopping.
We’ll row in 2-hour shifts, day and night, through one of the busiest and most unforgiving stretches of water in the world.
Once we leave, there is no turning back.

Why we are doing this

This challenge started with Nathalie.
After facing cancer, there was a moment when even the idea of rowing again felt uncertain. Coming back to the water wasn’t just about sport — it was about rebuilding strength, identity, and belief.
For all of us, this row is personal.
Each of us carries our own connection to the cause — through our experiences, and through the people we love. We are rowing for those who stood by us, those we’ve lost, and those still fighting.

The charities

We are raising funds for two charities that reflect this journey:

  • Fulham Reach Boat Club (FRBC): a community charity that makes rowing accessible to those who might never otherwise have the opportunity, supporting young people, individuals with disabilities, and those rebuilding their lives through sport.
  • The Osborn Trust: supporting the children of a parent going through a cancer diagnosis, cancer treatment, cancer recurrence, living with incurable cancer, a death of a parent from cancer & beyond.

Support the effort

We will row for around 50 hours, in 2-hour shifts — a total of 25 shifts. Linking your donation directly to that effort here is how you could support:

  • £25 → 15 minutes of us rowing
  • £50 → 30 minutes of us rowing
  • £100 → 1 hour of us rowing
  • £200 → 1 full 2-hour shift of us rowing

Every donation counts, will be given straight to our 2 charities and will help carry us through the next shift.
