BRFC: How We're Using Our Team Spirit To Fundraise

Bromsgrove Rugby Club players & coaches have come up with a novel challenge to raise money for NHS Charities Together, and to ensure that the rugby club - which has been part of the local community for nearly 150 years "survives and thrives"

Inspired by Jules Verne's 'Around the World in 80 Days', which was published in 1872 - the year of Bromsgrove's formation - the players and coaches are attempting to circumnavigate the globe in the same timeframe.

They are running, cycling, walking or (where possible) swimming their way around the world - some 25,000 miles. To complete their challenge they're aiming for a team effort of just over 300 miles a day.

Bromsgrove Rugby Club have utilised the innovative fundraising solution offered free of charge by Give as you Live Donate, which allows them to fundraise for their club in addition to supporting up to 4 further charities.

To help publicise and document their challenge, they've taken advantage of the offer of bespoke graphics and links, which have been utilised by every member of the team.

Sharing the fundraising page across social media is easy thanks to the built-in share options, and the team have been able to keep donors up-to-speed on their progress so far with daily written updates, and streams of their individual efforts pulled live straight to their fundraising page.

Give as you live Donate is committed to helping sports teams and clubs smash their fundraising goals with innovative solutions to common problems, simple reporting, and no set-up or monthly fees.
