By the Power of the Dog… it’s Wagathon 2022!

Our annual Wagathon is back for 2022! Walk 9K for K9s.

That’s 9000 metres… 29,527 feet… no, we’re not sure what that is in dog footsteps either, it depends on the breed. Bit complicated…

And Wagathon isn’t complicated at all, it’s beautifully simple. It’s you, your dog, a beautiful August day 9km walk via whatever route you prefer, and an amazing fundraising activity for your favourite dog charity.

Get set in 3 simple steps:

  1. Decide which charity you and your pooch want to raise funds for
  2. Create your 9K for K9s Wagathon fundraising page
  3. Share your page with friends, family, and colleagues!

We have over 500 UK dog charities registered to receive donations so whether you want to support a major charity like Dogs Trust, your local rescue centre, or a breed-specific charity that’s close to your heart, we have plenty of dog-related charities to choose from. Alternatively, if you would like to raise for a different UK charity, we have thousands you can support from Teenage Cancer Trust to local Foodbanks, the choice is yours.

Route planning and enjoying your Wagathon:

There are so many beautiful summer walking routes across Britain. Whether you want to take in some spectacular scenery on a trip, or just walk your local area, it’s easy to plot out your 9km route.

We want to hear your Wagathon stories and see how you did. Make sure you share fun photos of you and your dogs from your route via #wagathon and #wagathon2022

Once the walk is done, the fundraising goes on!

Use the shopping you already do each week for your dog(s) to generate free donations to your chosen dog charity. Give as You Live Online is our fundraising platform that provides innovative ways for keen charity supporters to generate donations for their favourite cause, via the commission retailers who pay every time someone shops online with them.

We partner with some of the largest pet retailers in the UK like Pets at Home, Pet Supermarket, Pet Planet and Jollyes. You can compare them on our website, see who is offering the best donation reward and choose who to shop with accordingly.

And if you have an insurance renewal coming up, Petplan will donate £21 just for taking out dog insurance with them. There are so many ways that you can fundraise without it costing extra, just some smart shopping!

So, what are you waiting for? Start using the shopping you already do each week for your dog(s) or just in general to generate free donations to your chosen dog charity.

Fundraising doesn’t need to be extraordinary. Just give as you live your ordinary life.
