How are you promoting Give as you Live Donate fundraising pages to your supporters?

We encourage our donors to set up a Give as you Live fundraising page by sharing our Donate page link on our facebook page. We take our supporters through the process and will assist when needed. We also include the link of events on all PR assets.

Have you held any events supporting the charity?

We have had lots of supporters support us through fundraising events this year including Climbing Kilimanjaro, a Triathlon, the Tour De Yorkshire Cycle and a Head Shave. All have raised incredible amounts of donations for us.

Do you have any more events coming up?

Our next big event is our Castle2Castle walk on Sunday 1 September, which is a 6-mile walk from Ripley Castle to Knaresborough Castle, launched by Sir Thomas Ingilby from the steps of Ripley Castle with a guest appearance by our Patron and Emmerdale Actor, John Middleton.

How have the funds raised through the Give as you Live Donate helped the charity?

The £65,899 raised through Give as you Live has enabled Dementia Forward to keep providing much-needed information, advice and support to people living with dementia, their families and carers.

What does a £10 donation mean to the charity?

Provides a day of meaningful activities for a person living with young onset dementia giving a carer a days respite.

What does a £1000 donation mean to the charity?

Pays for 12 families to attend a dementia education course, providing knowledge and skills to support their caring roles.
