Governor's 100-mile challenge for FISA

Event date: Saturday 12th October

Join us in cheering on Simon, a dedicated member of the Fleet Infant School community and a passionate long-distance runner, as he takes on a gruelling 100-mile challenge to support our children's school.

With two children attending FIS and serving on the board of governors, Simon is committed to giving back to the institution that has played such a significant role in his family's life.
A seasoned long-distance runner with nearly 15 years of experience, Simon has previously completed a 100-mile run along the South Downs Way in just 27.5 hours, a feat he once vowed never to repeat. However, his passion for running and commitment to FIS have led him to this incredible endeavor. By participating in the Autumn 100, Simon aims to raise funds for the school and support its ongoing initiatives.

On 12th October 2024, Simon will be tackling the Autumn 100, a challenging trail race starting in Goring and following a star-shaped route over various terrains and hills. This demanding event requires endurance, mental fortitude, and a deep love for the sport. Simon is aiming to complete the race in a single push, facing a challenging 30-hour cutoff time.

Simon is hoping to make a substantial contribution to FISA. His employer has generously pledged to match up to £1,000 of donations, making every contribution even more impactful.

Let's come together to support Simon in his incredible feat and help him make a positive difference for our children's school!
