Maharishi Foundation Appeal for Financial Support

Event dates: Saturday 20th November 2021 – Monday 31st January 2022

We were very grateful for the kind generosity of Meditators, Sidhas and TM Teachers in November last year, when we asked for donations to help see Maharishi Foundation through until TM teaching returned to pre-pandemic levels. Together with Government furlough grants, donations received for specific projects, and economies in costs, your generosity has enabled the charity to continue its work. But now, faced with Covid-constrained teaching numbers 40% below normal times, there is still great pressure on our finances, forcing us to appeal once again for your kind support. We estimate Maharishi Foundation needs another £30,000 if it is to reach the end of 2021 in the black and continue to operate effectively.

Despite the ups and downs of Covid in 2021, TM Teachers across the country continue to teach Transcendental Meditation (following all necessary safety protocols). Many hundreds more people have been able to learn. Funds have been raised to support TM scholarships for people in need and for students. TM courses have been run for workers in the emergency services, and for NHS staff.

'Maharishi Foundation continues to advertise Transcendental Meditation nationwide. Work is underway to upgrade the TM website. Live interactive courses via the Maharishi.Online platform have proved a great success; so far Dr Peter Warburton has run sixteen such courses, and Dr Bevan Morris four, each attracting between 150 and 300 participants. Most of our top Teachers have trained in the use of a smartphone App which further extends the depth of support and beautiful knowledge available to those who learn TM.

We are passionate about making TM widely available across the UK – most especially today. For example, you will have read in the press about the UK's rise in anxiety, which is addressed directly by TM. Maharishi’s knowledge is in greater need than ever, and we appeal to your generosity to help via this Appeal.
