About us
SPIDER-Y exists to promote in Yorkshire, opportunity for the disabled to enjoy participating in sport locally, nationally and internationally.
Understanding of the difficulties encountered by those who are disabled.
In order to achieve these objectives, SPIDER-Y will
Set up a sports club for the disabled and their friends and relatives
Offer sessions in schools and elsewhere to give the able-bodied the opportunity to experience disabled sport
Offer courses to businesses and other organisations to enable staff better to understand life from a disabled aspect
Clubs: The Leeds Spiders Wheelchair Basketball Club, based at Morley Leisure Centre, Leeds and will be open to disabled people, their friends and relatives, regardless of ethnicity, gender or religion but subject to registration and compliance with club rules.
