2023 Library Makeover Appeal

Raising for Brunel Field Primary School PSA

Help us raise funds to makeover our school library!

We are delighted to have secured a grant from The Mercers' Company to help redevelop the school library. New accessible and versatile shelving and furniture and a new quiet sensory area will transform the space to create a much more accessible and engaging space to develop a lifelong love of learning.

We want to be able to restock this new space with a range of books and resources that will inspire and engage our young readers and reflect the diversity of our school and wider community, and to commission some wall art to make the library a beautiful space to enjoy.

To do this, we are asking two things.

We would love as many children as possible to get involved by fundraising - in any way they would like! Perhaps they could think of something book themed? A sponsored readathon or selling some of their old books? Or taking inspiration from the number '23' - doing 23 chores around the house (yes please!), reading 23 books or being sponsored to skip for 23 minutes?? Lots more fundraising ideas can be found on the poster, in the newsletters and on our Facebook page. You can either set up your own fundraising page (via the link to the right) OR pay in your funds on this page. Either option will make sure everything you raise goes directly to help fund the library makeover.

Please also consider making a donation. Each £5 donated could buy one new book so together we can make a huge difference! You can donate quickly and securely on this page.

Brunel Field Primary School PSA

Brunel Field Parent Staff Association (PSA) is made up of all of the school community. Parents, carers, families and staff all have an important role to play.

With the help of the school parent and carer community, we help to raise thousands of pounds every year. This is done through activities such as cake sales, firework displays, seasonal celebrations, summer fairs, table top sales, tea towel sales, school community events and school discos (and so much more!!)

The money raised helps to fund school activities and resources that the school otherwise would struggle to fund due to the lack of government funding – the more we help the school with additional money, the more money they have to prioritise teaching, learning and pastoral care.
