About us
E3 works with local partners to bring transformation to communities affected by poverty, HIV and AIDS, gender-based violence and COVID-19 in Southern Africa. Our partners understand the challenges and issues first-hand and how to respond in a sustainable way. We empower their leaders through training and financial support to respond to the social issues around them. In particular, E3 helps enable HIV support initiatives, microfinance to improve livelihoods, support for orphaned and vulnerable children to attend school and thrive, and workshops to help stop gender-based violence and support for those affected.

Your gift will help provide smart new uniform and shoes and regular Life Skills classes for orphaned and vulnerable children so they can complete school and look to the future with hope and confidence.
When John first joined Back to School he was a refugee, unschooled and just learning English. Within a few years he became Head Boy and thrived at school. Now, he has a scholarship to study a degree in Neuroscience in the USA. When he was still at school he taught maths to fellow refugees. Receiving support through Back to School is about holistic support – the gift of uniform and shoes, Life Skills classes, Support Groups, counselling and mentoring all contribute to rewriting a child’s story.
