About us
Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW provides free peer support, information, and signposting to anyone living with dementia in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Be it the person with dementia, their family, friends or caregivers. We provide support at every stage of the dementia journey.
Our peer support groups provide the opportunity for people to engage with others living with dementia in the local community, and participate in arts & crafts, cognitive stimulation activities, reminiscence, music, movement, and conversation. All of which help to reduce isolation and loneliness and improve wellbeing, leading to happier, healthier individuals better equipped to deal with the day-to-day challenges that a dementia diagnosis brings.
We also offer one-to-one sessions for clients to talk about their worries, or to ask for help and support to apply for benefits, power of attorney, home help, respite, or residential care.
Bake a Difference
Bake a Difference by hosting your own bring and buy cake sale, coffee morning, or tea party and donate the proceeds to help families living with dementia.
Bake it or fake it and ask your friends to do the same, then get together and #eatcakeanddonate!
