About us
Bamford Primary School is a small primary school in the Peak District.
The PTFA is enthusiastic about raising money to ensure school is more than just 'school'.
In recent years PTFA has funded an outdoor obstacle course trim trail, supported the development of the school garden, paid for school trips, books and new IT equipment.

2024 Bamford Primary School London Marathon Challenge
In consultation with the Student Council, we have decided that our Spring challenge will be to walk/run 26 miles before April 21st which is London Marathon day!
The council team have worked out that to do this we will need to do 8 laps of the playground every day so that we can do 2 miles a week!
They are also producing a power point so that we will have London landmarks to motivate us!! We have made a class chart to track progress so hopefully it will be a fun and motivating challenge for everyone.
The infants are going to try a half marathon of 13 miles.
