About us
Northampton Transport Heritage is a registered charity dedicated to preserving Northamptonshire transport history and making it accessible to the public. We currently preserve eight Northants operated or registered buses which are ex-United Counties and Northampton Corporation Transport. We host running day events and partner with local authorities and other organisations. We also take our vehicles out to schools, care homes and day centres as well as running various members-only trips throughout the year.
Bus 146 - VV 9146 Ongoing Maintenance Fund
Bus No. 146 was restored in 2016 to a high standard and as such is still very presentable but to keep it in this condition requires ongoing and regular maintenance. 146 is a very popular vehicle and is itself the only remaining (complete) Crossley from the batch of ten purchased in 1946 by Northampton Corporation Transport. (The only other Crossley from that batch that remains is the chassis of 141 which is also in the care of NTH and used as a source of spares, such as the engine and gearbox).
