About us
Northampton Transport Heritage is a registered charity dedicated to preserving Northamptonshire transport history and making it accessible to the public. We currently preserve eight Northants operated or registered buses which are ex-United Counties and Northampton Corporation Transport. We host running day events and partner with local authorities and other organisations. We also take our vehicles out to schools, care homes and day centres as well as running various members-only trips throughout the year.
Bus No. 66334 MV02 VBZ "Mavis" Restoration Fund
Bus No. 66334 "Mavis" is the youngest member of our fleet and is our only wheelchair accessible vehicle, as such she will play an important part in our operation, that is making our events. accessible to all.
The fallout from the COVID pandemic put our plans to recommission her on hold. She was delivered to us with an MOT but has now stood in our storage shed for a while, though, she does start and run, she needs servicing, and some minor repairs but we do not yet have the funds to get her to a workshop to be inspected for any other potential faults. We would love for her to join the active fleet, so its important we raise the funds to do so!
