It takes just a few steps to create your page supporting Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service.
Cadas was founded in 1979 by a group of concerned individuals and professionals who wanted to provide a service for the people of Cumbria who suffered from the effects of alcohol and drugs. It was registered as a charity in the same year. Over the last 40 years Cadas has grown to its current size with around 15 paid staff and some 20 volunteers, operating from 3 centres across Cumbria. We continue to provide our recovery service to individuals and offer help to families, communities and employers with training and information provision. We believe that our major strengths are our independence, our commitment to people and communities, our inclusive approach and our accessibility. If you are ready for change, we can help to bring it about with you for you, and your family and friends, and for your community.

Watch the sun set on this classic hike up England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike at 978m, 3208ft. This hike will also take in the additional peak of Lingmell (807m, 2648ft).
Setting off at 7pm, approximately 3 hours before sunset, the start point is Wasdale Green close to the Wasdale Head Inn. From here we take in Lingmell first. The views back over the Wasdale Valley from the Lingmell ascent really are to be treasured. We then cross down to Lingmell coll before the final push up to Scafell Pike summit.
Then it is photo/ selfie time on the large summit cairn platform. Coming up from Wasdale on the West side of the Lakes means that we get the full ‘wow factor’ of the sunset (subject to weather of course!) The descent will take us on the more direct route back through Hollow Stones.
