Christmas Hospital Fundraiser

This Christmas we're starting a new tradition of donating a ‘hospital unit’ to one of our trusted rescue volunteers in Greece.

So many rescuers work with the most basic of conditions, with dirt floors where Parvo virus can live for years, and end up paying expensive fees to keep dogs in recovery at the vet after surgeries and neutering etc as its the only hygienic location available. With a mortality rate of around 80%, so many puppies needlessly die every year as the virus takes them before the vaccinations can protect their young immune systems.

By buying and converting an ex-shipping container, we can make a huge difference to mortality and finances by providing a long lasting, safe and hygienic unit where animals can recover and puppies be vaccinated in safety, all under the care of the volunteers.

Fully lined so it can be kept hygienic, with doors, windows and lights, with safe vet cages and proper medicine storage, this unit will be transformational, and go on working for years and years in to the future.

Our first Christmas unit will be donated to Ermioni at Diasozo Animal Rescue in Karditsa, central Greece, one of the hardest working volunteers we know and who we've helped for many years.

We believe in this and its ability to make a large and long term difference so strongly that we're putting £5,000 towards this from our reserves, have already raised £2,500 from key donors, and are now asking for your help to raise the final £2,500.

Please, can you help us this Christmas?
