Deaf Awareness Week - GDA

Raising for Gloucestershire Deaf Association

Deaf Awareness Week is about visibility understanding and breaking down barriers.

Across Gloucestershire thousands of Deaf and hard of hearing people face daily challenges from missed information and inaccessible services to social isolation and health inequalities. Many of these barriers are not about hearing loss itself but about awareness communication and inclusion.

Gloucestershire Deaf Association GDA is the county’s Deaf led charity supporting Deaf and hard of hearing children adults and families through services that promote independence confidence and community connection.

Your support during Deaf Awareness Week will help us to

  • Improve Deaf Awareness and communication access across workplaces and services
  • Support Deaf children young people and families to thrive
  • Reduce isolation through community wellbeing activities
  • Champion Deaf identity equality and inclusion across Gloucestershire

Every donation big or small helps us create a county where Deaf and hard of hearing people are understood valued and included not just during Deaf Awareness Week but all year round.
Thank you for supporting Gloucestershire’s Deaf community.
