About us
Each year the Lord Mayor of Liverpool raises money to be distributed to local charities or charities with a Liverpool connection.
The Lord Mayor of Liverpool for 2025-26 is Cllr Barbara Murray.
Councillor Murray’s charity will be Liverpool Education Grants Charitable Trust previously known as the Council of Education. The direct beneficiaries during her mayoral year will be Liverpool Literacy Cycle, Youth Works apprenticeships and Liverpool Poetry Space.

Dragon Boat Fun Race

Event: Dragon Boat Fun Race
Date: 7th May 2022
Location: Liverpool Watersports centre 110 Mariners Wharf L3 4DG
Time: 10.00 am to 4.00pm teams must be prepared to stay for the whole event
Briefing: 9.30 on the day, offer of training or zoom briefing for team captains prior to the event.
Teams: Each team to have 16 paddlers and one Drummer
Age: Open to 12 and over
All teams to participate in 3 races, 2 fastest time recorded. Then race again.
Cost: in order to raise as much money as possible for the Lord Mayors Charities each team must pay or fund raise £1250 to take part. Approx. 74.00 per participant.
Team captain names must be provided to the Lord Mayors charities committee by Friday 29th April 2022.
The team captain must provide a full crew list ( this can be more than the required 17 )
Risk assessments and insurance documentation to be provided to Crew managers.
