Raising for Sheffield Futures
Event date:
Six colleagues from Heb Group are stepping up to take on the Sheffield Half Marathon in support of Sheffield Futures, and we’re inviting you to be part of the journey.
As a Sheffield-founded business, we believe in giving back to the communities that have supported our growth for over a century. Sheffield Futures plays a vital role across our city, working with young people aged 11–25 who face barriers to education, employment, and wellbeing. Through tailored mental health support, careers guidance, mentoring and employability programmes, they provide practical help at the moments it’s needed most, helping young people build confidence, resilience and real opportunities for the future.
We’ve proudly supported Sheffield Futures since 2023, raising more than £35,000 through our Centenary Ball. That partnership wasn’t a one-off gesture; it marked the start of a long-term commitment to backing young people across Sheffield. This half marathon challenge is another example of our team putting that commitment into action.
Training has already begun, with early mornings, long runs and plenty of determination. Our people are pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones, not for medals or personal bests, but to make a meaningful difference.
Every pound raised will go directly towards supporting young people across Sheffield, funding essential services that can change the direction of a life.
If you’re able to donate, share the page, or simply cheer the team on, your support will go a long way. Together, we can help create brighter futures across our city.

Sheffield Futures is a young people's charity, providing life-changing support for those who need it the most.
We deliver a wide range of services to young people in Sheffield from our city centre base, over the phone and video call, and in third party settings such as schools and colleges.
Our key service areas are: Mental Health and Wellbeing (under Door43), Careers, Employability, and Youth Work.
We are passionate about making sure that young peoples' voice is at the heart of everything we do and have a particular focus on work with disadvantaged and hard to reach young people and communities.
We work closely with our partners across the statutory; voluntary, community, and private sectors to work together to support young people towards a better future, so they can fulfil their potential in education, employment and life.
