About us

dDeaflinks staffordshire, breaking down barriers in the community. we are more than just a charity we are a community.

We provide services and support to the dDeaf community, which are still in demand today as they were in 1868, and dDeaflinks is proud to continue its strong history of offering support and meeting its community’s changing needs.

Our staff are our most valuable resource. We have a team of incredibly dedicated people working for us, we also benefit from the support of our volunteers, who give the charity invaluable support.

Help save our charity

Event dates: Saturday 25th June 2022 – Sunday 26th June 2022

We are currently working towards putting together a Family fundraising event to say farewell to the current building we are in, the building was purpose built in 1936 and has been the base for the charity up until this point.

It was built to be able to provide religious services first and foremost and grew over the years to become what we are today, but unfortunately we must relocate for sustainability and to secure our charity’s future as we are struggling to continue, we face potential closure in less than 12 months if cannot turn our ship around .

We are a self sustaining charity who receive no government help, we rely solely on the communities donations, so without your help we will no longer be able to continue to provide the vital services needed.

The event will last all day and will include:
• Fun and games for all the family
• Bookable Afternoon tea
• Bingo
• Raffle prize draw and charity auction
• Quiz with lobby and bread roll
• A ‘memory room’ for people to explore and celebrate our 86 years here at The Ellis centre.

Any much needed donations to the charity will go towards helping us to continue offering our vital services to the deaf community and its families.
