Raising for SOS Silence Of Suicide
For many, Christmas is a time of joy, but for thousands, it can be a season of loneliness and silence. And beyond the holidays, these feelings persist throughout the year. SOS Silence of Suicide is on a mission to change that. Our campaign, “It Doesn’t Have to Be a Silent Night”, invites you to join a movement of hope and connection, at Christmas and every day.
Every £1.50 raised breaks one minute of silence for someone struggling this festive season. How many minutes of silence do you want to help break? And help us provide support, resources, and a listening ear to those who need it most.
Your support goes far beyond breaking the silence; it helps save lives.
Every contribution helps SOS Silence of Suicide keep our vital helpline running, offering immediate, compassionate support to those in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts.
It also enables us to deliver OPEN Conversations training within workplaces and communities, empowering people to spot signs of distress and start life-changing conversations.
By donating, you’re funding a network of care that reaches individuals, organisations, and communities, ensuring no one faces their darkest moments alone.
You can make an even bigger impact by organising your own event to support SOS. Whether it’s a purple-themed day at work, a community coffee morning, or a sponsored challenge, every pound raised helps us keep our helpline open and provide life-saving support.
We’ll provide ideas, resources, and guidance to make your fundraiser a success. Together, we can create a ripple of hope that reaches those who need it most.

We support children, young people and adults with poor emotional health, via telephone, online meetings and group face to face meetings. Our aim is to empower people to believe in themselves and create hope for a brighter, healthier future.
We work hard to reduce the shame, stigma and silence around mental health and suicide which can prevent beneficial conversations taking place.
SOS had to amend its services during Covid, outlaying vast sums in telephony and IT development, testing and roll out so that we could continue to support vulnerable people
It has, and continues to be tough, with smaller charities unable to access some larger grants due to their significantly smaller incomes.
Please, if you are concerned about the state of the nation's mental health and want to help, consider our charity when you next fundraise and/or donate.
Thank you everyone from all at SOS.
