JRF Golf Day 2024 - Charity Pledge

On Wednesday 8th May we held our second, annual Golf Day at The Belfry. We were blessed with sunshine so our 148 golfers could enjoy the day in style!

We have so many people to thank for participating, supporting and helping us on this journey. As a relatively new charity, fundraising events are a key part of our income and we have plans to grow our scope this year to reach more young people in need.

For this event, we had a pledge moment in the evening where we asked if each guest would contribute £100 to help us reach a target of £15,000 - with this money being set aside to employ a coach/mentor to work with our school programmes in disadvantaged areas of Leeds, where Jason grew up.

Through our programmes we help kids who have challenging home lives, facing poverty and issues which unfortunately come with the territory. By offering them something to participate in that is inclusive, good for them both physically and (more important) mentally, we aim to improve their opportunities and bring some brightness to their futures.

Thank you so much in helping us to reach our target - £100 per person / £400 per 4-ball was pledged on the night. But please do just contribute what you can. And of course if you feel you can do a bit more to help us reach our goals, it would be hugely appreciated.
