About us

We provide services for children and young people with learning disabilities aged 5 to 25 including those with physical disabilities, autism, complex communication, and behavioural needs.

We want to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with disabilities and their families and aim to enhance their life opportunities by providing play, outreach, short breaks, after school clubs, counselling and family support services to support children and young people to be active and contributing members of their community.

Our vision is to provide engaging, inclusive, and innovative play and experiential opportunities, which enable learning disabled children and young people to develop their social and emotional resilience in readiness for an active and fulfilling adulthood.

We are part of Learning Disability Network London.

KCA Sensory Room

We are fundraising to create a new specially designed sensory room at KCA.

We want to transform our sensory room into an explorative, interactive and calming sensory space for children with learning disabilities.

The total cost of the project is £10k. We have secured funding of £5k and we need to raise a further £5k to create our new sensory room.

Sensory play is essential for children’s development and becomes even more crucial when supporting children with disabilities to understand and make sense of the world around them and enhance mental health and wellbeing. Spending time in a sensory room helps children improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as fine and gross motor skills. By providing a sense of calm and comfort, sensory rooms help children learn to self-regulate their behaviours.

Please help us to create this amazing sensory space for the children and young people we support!
