Knaresborough Bed Race 2022 Forest School

Event date: Saturday 11th June 2022

Forest School caters for pupils with special educational needs, and we are raising funds to provide a Multi Use Games Area sports facility which is accessible for wheelchair users.

A team of runners from Rothwell Harriers will be supporting our fundraising by taking part in the legendary Knaresborough Bed Race on 11th June.
The course is over 2.4 miles and takes in parkland, the glories of Waterside through the Nidd Gorge, up the almost sheer Castle Ings, through the cobbled street of the town, down Bond End to High Bridge, through McIntosh Park, and finishes with a 35-yard swim through the ever icy and fast-flowing waters of the River Nidd. It is a fabulous family day out which includes seeing all the decorated beds in the parade followed by the spectacular bed race.
