Support People's Music- Celebrating 5 years 🎉🎶 #FilledWithWonder

Hello everyone!

We would love to ask you to please help Soundcastle to continue running our People’s Music programme that celebrates the creativity, resilience and voice of people who have a mental health diagnosis.

We bring together people on a mental health recovery journey from across Sussex, to make and share their own music!

We use collaborative music-making to strengthen mental health recovery and reduce social isolation during challenging times. Our community members work together to build trust, playfulness and creativity, leading to the creation of brand new music.

Exploring improvisation is at the root of what we do and enables us to welcome anyone to join the band from experienced musicians to those discovering music-making for the first time.

'These are the best and most effective courses for me that I found and tested among many of the other mood enhancing courses at the Recovery College. These courses are priceless, they should never stop. No other art courses or any theoretical courses could come even close to these. The tutors are very skilled, great, patient, kind and can motivate us to give wings to fly. And this is what we need. ❣️🙏❣️'

Since its inception in 2019 People’s Music has made significant strides!

Some highlights include:

• 2020- 2021: Creation and launch of the flagship band's First EP - featured at Brighton Fringe 2021.
• 2021: First Live Performance!
• 2022: Launch of '’Singing for Wellbeing’’, ‘’Ukulele Crew’’ and ‘’New Rhythms'’
• 2023: Performance at Walk the Chalk Festival!

The upcoming live performance launch of their Second EP 'Filled with Wonder' is a testament of the dedication, talent, and progress of the collective.

You’re invited to be a part of this milestone event! Do join us on Friday, June 14th, in Worthing, as we come together to support the People’s Music Collective with guest musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra!
