About us

At St. Winifred's we place strong importance on the involvement of parents and carers in their child's education and in the life of the school. We believe that co-operation between home and school is the key to a child?s development.

Family and Friends of St.Winifred's is a charitable organisation ran by a group of parents/carers and teachers who work together on a voluntary basis to contribute to the life of the school through fundraising, and supporting school initiatives.

Our aim is to raise as much funds as possible to enhance the educational and social experiences of the children of St. Winifred's school and to have fun along the way.

Playground Project

We are looking to develop and bring new value to the limited outdoor space the school has in order to enhance the social and educational development of the children at the school. The children would benefit greatly from having an outside space where they are able to clear their minds and connect with nature resulting in them being inspired to achieve academically.

The playground is in desperate need of development and we are looking at how we might create spaces where the children can learn, play safely, socialise and relax.

We've manage to raise enough funds last year to transform one bare grassless muddy area. We're now looking to raise £11k to transform another area.
