About us

Thousands of dogs are born on the streets of Bosnia every year, condemned to face cruel acts by locals, starvation, disease and brutal and inhumane deaths. The dogs are round up by dog catchers and often placed into kill shelters that provide no care, food or comfort, with many starving to death or dying of exposure.

Fetcher Dog aims to rescue as many of these dogs as possible. We have many local rescuers, picking up stray street dogs and removing as many as possible from kill shelters. All dogs are taken to safe and secure facilities where they no longer have to fear cruelty. They are fed and cared for and are taken to local veterinarians who help us nurse them back to health. We give them everything they need for a fresh start and the best possible chance of a happy, healthy life.

Fetcher Dog then finds forever homes for these dogs in the U.K. These dogs have been through so much that they desperately deserve wonderful families and we aim to pair all of our dogs with the best forever homes that we can find.

Raising Funds for a Rescue Centre Rehabilitation Retreat

Event dates: Monday 1st May 2023 – Thursday 1st June 2023

We are aiming to raise £3500 for a mobile, eco friendly, mobile dog kennel, which will be housed at the rescue centre, but give sick dogs a quiet, isolated and safe area to recuperate whilst being central and practical enough to be monitored and supervised by the rescue centre staff.

Overview:
Over the past six weeks, the rescue centre has experienced a number of dog related accidents, sicknesses and incidents, which has resulted in the affected dogs being manoeuvred around the centre into hastily prepared rehabilitation areas.
Cheddar broke his wrist and needed to be away from the other dogs whilst his wrist healed for six weeks after his surgery, this was to prevent him getting over excited or scared and therefore hurting his wrist while it healed, Bingo had kennel cough and needed to be isolated to prevent spreading to other dogs and giving him much needed rest.
With up to forty dogs on centre at any time a designated kennel is required to isolate sick dogs enabling them to recover in relative peace whilst keeping their ailments away from the other residents.

Solution:
Fetcher Dog are raising funds for a mobile, eco, thermal plastic dog kennel.

Dimensions:
10 x 4 ft

Key features include:

  • All materials used throughout the kennel are fully recyclable
  • The WPC boards will not rot, crack or splinter
  • The kennel will withstand temperature fluctuations in summer and cooler months, thermal protection is assured in all seasons
  • Floors are nonslip, waterproof, and fully detachable to allow for easy cleaning
  • The panels are made from galvanised steel framing where the WPC boards slide into place, meaning they can be replaced if ever damaged
  • The WPC kennel is chemical, pressure wash and steam resistant for allowing a hygienic deep clean
  • The kennel is 100% fire retardant
  • The kennel is mobile

Price:
£3500 inclusive of Delivery

The Plan:
The idea is to create a space at the kennels, in the main courtyard, the kennels is delivered and built by the company.
The staff at the centre will be able to monitor the dog affectively and the patient will be able to view the rest of the dogs while keeping a safe distance. If successful, we will be purchasing the kennel from Benchmark Kennels.

This kennel to the smooth running of the centre and for the rehabilitation and safety of sick dogs

Thank You
