About us

The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers and fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments, and brings us closer to a cure for MND. We also campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND and everyone who cares for them are recognised and addressed by wider society.

Our vision is a world free from MND.

Rob Burrow CBE

MND Association patron Rob Burrow CBE sadly died on 02 June 2024, four and half years after his diagnosis with motor neurone disease.

We are incredibly grateful to Rob and his family for their courageous efforts in raising awareness about MND and generating funds for the Association. Their inspiring journey has touched countless individuals within the MND community and the wider public.

Thousands of individuals and groups, clubs and organisations have been inspired to undertake their own fundraising. That money raised in Rob's name is now being used to support families living with MND, like Rob’s, and fund vital research in the search for treatments and a cure.

With your help we hope to save other families from the heartache of a motor neurone disease diagnosis in the future.

If you would like to continue supporting the crucial fight against MND in Rob's memory, please consider making a donation. Together, we can make a lasting impact and honour the legacy of an extraordinary individual who exemplified strength and determination in the face of adversity.
