About us

The Change Foundation is an award-winning charity that uses sport to change the lives of marginalised young people. We deliver targeted long-term interventions for the most vulnerable young people through Coach Mentors with lived experience, providing regular sport, personalised mentoring and work-related opportunities.

Deliver - we deliver targeted sport for social change programmes for the most vulnerable young people through Coach Mentors with lived experience.

Innovate - we design programmes with young people, using creative methodologies and testing ideas by delivering 6-12 month pilot programmes.

Inspire - we work with other charities, employers and corporate organisations and create bespoke solutions to extend the power and reach of our programmes for maximum social impact.

Guided by young people, our listening process has directed us to deliver sports programmes that focus on these social issues affecting young people today:

  • Knife crime and serious youth violence
  • Social media influence and addiction
  • Youth unemployment for vulnerable young people
  • Disability inclusion and creating equal opportunities
  • Mental health issues and developing coping mechanisms

We exist to help young people find solutions to deal with these social issues through the power of sport.

Running for Change: Supporting young parents at The Change Foundation

Event date: Sunday 27th April 2025

I'm thrilled to share that on Sunday 27th April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon. This endeavour is not just about crossing the finish line but also about supporting the young parents we support at The Change Foundation.

The Change Foundation is an award-winning charity that uses sport to change the lives of marginalised young people for over 43 years. TCF deliver targeted long-term interventions for the most vulnerable young people through Coach Mentors with lived experience, providing regular sports sessions, personalised mentoring and work-related opportunities.

I've always been passionate about sports, whether it is running around the netball court, watching football on the weekends, or coaching kids around the world, but running without a ball is entirely new for me. This marathon will be my first, and I’ll be tackling it within a year of welcoming my first child, Billie, into the world. My journey through early parenthood has been both beautiful and challenging, and it has deepened my appreciation for the support networks that help young parents navigate this life-changing experience.

The Change Foundation provides crucial support to young mothers and fathers, empowering them to secure sustainable and rewarding employment and helping them build secure futures for themselves and their children and all the money we raise will help us expand this critical work.

Please support me where you can on this journey.

Thank you!
Elle
