Hope Into Action works in partnership with local churches to provide homes and support to the most vulnerable in society. We help people who have experienced homelessness to rebuild their lives.
Event date: Sunday 20th October
At Hope into Action we work with local churches to provide housing and support for people who've been homeless.
Many of the people we work with are recovering from difficult life experiences and mental health challenges. Physical exercise can be a valuable part of the recovery process, and beneficial for people's mental health.
One of our tenants goes running to help cope with depression and anxiety, and one of our staff members started running when recovering from breast cancer treatment. So they've teamed up with a volunteer from one of our partner churches for the Great South Run to raise money for Hope into Action Portsmouth!
As a small charity, every donation really counts, and by donating to us, you are helping us achieve our vision of ending homelessness.

Sadly the Great South Run was cancelled on Sunday due to Storm Ashley. Hope into Action Team Pompey were so disappointed, after all our training and preparation!
To honour the generosity of those who've donated, we each plan to run the 10 miles solo, and our Empowerment Worker completed this on Saturday before the storm hit: strava.app.link/LjQWtfotSNb
