About us
Merona Foundation is a non-profit organisation supporting underprivileged children, young and older people worldwide.
Merona Foundation work with various groups and volunteers in supporting young and older people who are less privileged through campaigns to raise awareness and assist with relief. Giving young people the opportunity to reach their full potential to lead better lives, become industrious and able to support and empower them in the community.

School Buildings Fundraising Project
Event dates: Sunday 16th May 2021 – Saturday 28th August 2021
Kokono is a kindergarten school in the village of Akosombo; it is the only public education school in the area. The Kokono school building is unsafe, the building work is in an uncompleted stage and it does not have the fundamental necessity for teaching or tools to learn.
Our aim is to improve the school building so that the children from the village can attend school and have a place to learn and play. The classroom space needs basic equipment such as chairs and desks. The teacher from the school is seeking support to better cater for the children’s education and to make the building a safe learning space.
There is much we take for granted. Young people need a secure place to learn and play. We are currently focusing our efforts into supporting the refurbishment of the school building. We are fundraising for this school project and need your help.

We're excited to share the completed school building project in Kokono, Ghana this will serve so many children who did not have an conducive place to learn. The building was unsafe, rain was entering into the classroom, so we are very please to be able to finish this project.

A huge thanks to everyone who made this project possible. The school building is completed and children now have a decent and secure space for learning.

We are setting targets so we can give the children secure surroundings, windows will be constructed and then masonary work. All project work will be filmed so our supporters can see where the raised funds are being spent.

Thank you for the support so far, however the school is running in the middle of pandemic, but the lack of basic facilities in this unsafe building means not much teaching is happening. Help us bring a safer space learning.
