About us

At The Spring Centre we provide a variety of services to children and young adults with additional needs and/or disabilities from 0 to 35 years and their families across Gloucestershire. These include after school and holiday clubs, family sessions, a day centre and community sessions with a variety of onsite and offsite activities. We have 2 well equipped kitchen-diners, a play room, a sensory room, a community room and 2 lounges to chill out as well as a play area outside, inducing a canopy providing all year round access to activities based outdoors. We use our minibuses to get to places and to organise transport from a local SEN school to our venue.
Supporting children, young people and their families is at the core of our work. Our main aim is to improve the quality of life for the child or young person as well as their family group. We offer a tailored support, to suit the need of the individual whilst focusing on building their confidence and enabling them to grow their independence.

Transform Our Sensory Room

Event dates:

Campaign Summary: Help us complete our vital sensory room renovation - we're just £2,500 away from our £12,000 goal!
This essential space serves 150+ families across Gloucestershire, providing a safe haven for children and young adults with additional needs.
The Story: Every day, children with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs find peace in our sensory room. It's where overwhelming moments become manageable, where development happens through play, and where families find the specialist support that statutory services can't always provide.
But our current equipment is failing. Lights that no longer work, broken interactive elements, and outdated technology that can't keep up with our children's needs. We're so close to transforming this space into something truly special.
What Your Donation Achieves:

  • £10 - Contributes to safe electrical installation
  • £25 - Helps fund new calming sensory lighting
  • £50 - Supports projector accessories for interactive learning
  • £100 - Sponsors a complete sensory station
  • £250 - Provides our mobile interactive projector system

Our Progress: ✅ £8,000 secured through major grant funding ✅ £1,500 raised through community efforts 🎯 £2,500 still needed to complete the project
Why This Matters: Our sensory room isn't a luxury - it's a necessity that fills gaps in provision, offering specialist support that makes the difference between a child thriving or struggling.
This room will serve our community for decades to come, providing:

  • Daily calming space for sensory regulation
  • Interactive learning opportunities developing coordination and memory
  • A safe retreat when the world becomes too overwhelming

Make It Happen: Your donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to completion. Every pound goes directly to equipment and installation - no administration fees, no hidden costs, just real impact for real families.
Join us in creating a sensory space that will transform lives for generations to come.
Updates: We'll keep all supporters updated with photos and progress reports as the installation takes place. See your donation in action!
