Sheffield Emergency Relief for Gaza

Our Emergency Relief Fund aims to provide Palestinians in Gaza with desperately needed emergency relief (e.g food, clothing, nappies, tent materials, water etc etc).  Our primary ethos is Solidarity not Charity.

In the first two years of the genocide - since November 2023 - the people of Sheffield and beyond, have sent over £500,000 to the Sheffield Gaza Emergency Relief Fund. We are launching this campaign to enable our supporters to find it easier to donate online.

We take our lead from Palestinians in our trusted local partner organisations who we have worked with for many years (such as the Never Stop Dreaming Project in Khan Younis).  They know best what is needed.  It is not through pity or 'charity' but through solidarity that we offer our support.

Funds are used in a diverse way as situations on the ground change regularly.  Mainly this support is in kind (food, clothes, materials but this depends on what the team can find to buy, and the cost), sometimes help is via bank transfers through the Bank of Palestine app, so families with no funds can buy what they most need.  We also support initiatives such as funds for materials to host play workshops for children, and support for education and therapeutic support centres with rent and resources. Our priority is providing what is most needed and available to our team on the ground as they work to keep life going during this Genocide.

We provide regular updates to show the incredible work our team on the ground is doing even through their own forced displacement, loss and hardships, to provide for the people of Gaza with the help of your solidarity contributions.
