About us
The Friends are an open and friendly group of parents, teachers, extended family and members of the local community working together towards the common goals of building the school community, friendships and support networks and enriching the children's school experience.
We work hold events to help nurture and support the amazing school community and raise funds to provide those 'little extras' that help our children get even more out of school. Recent fundraisers have helped to pay for additional equipment, subscriptions, picnic benches, play equipment, school trips and our amazing outdoor area. We are fundraising to support all the activities that enrich the children's experience at South Malling Primary School.
South Malling Fun Run 2024
The Big South Malling Fun Run will take place on Friday 17th May 2024. The children will run their age plus 1 in laps - can we run 1400 laps and reach Paris? The Friends use the money raised from the Fun Run to benefit all the children by supporting school trips, providing experiences such as the magic show at Christmas and the author at the Poetry Slam, funding online apps including Wordshark, Purple Mash and Mathletics as well as larger items like the new equipment in the playground. The Friends also pay for the Patina Artist for the year 6 leaving parade. Please set up a sponsor form for your child or children and share with your family and friends.
