About us

Thousands of dogs are born on the streets of Bosnia every year, condemned to face cruel acts by locals, starvation, disease and brutal and inhumane deaths. The dogs are round up by dog catchers and often placed into kill shelters that provide no care, food or comfort, with many starving to death or dying of exposure.

Fetcher Dog aims to rescue as many of these dogs as possible. We have many local rescuers, picking up stray street dogs and removing as many as possible from kill shelters. All dogs are taken to safe and secure facilities where they no longer have to fear cruelty. They are fed and cared for and are taken to local veterinarians who help us nurse them back to health. We give them everything they need for a fresh start and the best possible chance of a happy, healthy life.

Fetcher Dog then finds forever homes for these dogs in the U.K. These dogs have been through so much that they desperately deserve wonderful families and we aim to pair all of our dogs with the best forever homes that we can find.

Fetcher Dog's Canine Health and Well-Being Programme

Event dates: Saturday 2nd September 2023 – Sunday 5th November 2023

Fetcher Dog are creating a programme for all our dogs, where we look to enhance their physical health and mental well being. This will ensure that all our dogs have the following treatments and procedures:

  • Neutered/Vaccinated
  • Treated for worms and fleas
  • Microchipped, Registered and possess a Pet Passport
  • Medically checked over for underlying illnesses and injuries
  • Vaccinated against Rabies, DHPP and Leptospirosis
  • Tested for Brucellosis, if in Bosnia
  • Have undergone 2 x one to one sessions with Justin Gilmore, a professionally qualified dog behaviourist and then posses a unique report card with full behavioural assessment.
The cost of all of these varies between Bosnia and the UK, but on average will cost £450 per dog.

Target for the Appeal
Fetcher Dog are looking for £13500 pounds for 30 dogs located in Bosnia and the UK.

Every dog that is adopted through Fetcher Dog has been microchipped, medically checked, vaccinated and spayed or neutered and this appeal will help towards the costs of these medical procedures.
