We are a local charity working to reduce poverty and increase social wellbeing in Southport and surrounding areas. We support people facing financial hardship in a range of ways including Southport foodbank, Food Pantries, benefits and debt advice. At the same time we 'go upstream' to address the root causes of poverty, and try to prevent them.
Compassion Acts are inviting people to sponsor a light on their Christmas tree, either in the name of someone special or as a symbol of hope for those who are struggling this winter.
The lights will be switched on at a ‘Carols Around The Christmas Tree’ event on Wednesday 7th December at 4:30pm. There will be carols sung and mince pies & hot chocolate served. We warmly invite you to attend the event.
Those sponsoring a light will be given the option of sharing a message of dedication. Dedications will be on display at the lights switch on in a Book of Celebration. For those unable to attend the event, the Book of Celebration will be available to view online. Please use the 'leave a message' feature to make your dedication if you wish to do so.
All donations received will go to Compassion Acts’ Winter Crisis Fund which will provide additional discretionary support to people facing severe hardship over the festive period.
