About us

We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice In North & West Kent we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice.

That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problems. Our goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face.

We’re an independent charity and part of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales. Our offices are in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, and Tunbridge Wells, serving a population of more than 600,000.

People come to us with all sorts of issues. You may have money, benefit, housing, immigration, or employment problems. You may be facing a crisis, or just considering your options. We offer free, independent, impartial advice for whatever problems you may be facing..

Our volunteers very kindly give up their time to help us for free, which is incredibly valuable to our organisation. It is vital we continue to grow our team in the face of the current cost of living crisis.
However, to run a team of volunteers costs money. Because we value our volunteers, it is important that they are never out of pocket, which is why we always offer to pay their travel and parking fees and any other expenses they incur. With such a large, and ever-growing team, this mounts up and costs our charity thousands of pounds a year.
This is why we are appealing for your help and asking you to sponsor a volunteer. This will help us cover these costs so we can continue recruiting and growing our fantastic team. The average expenses per volunteer is between £250 and £300 or £20 or £25 per month. However any contribution would be very welcome and help make a real difference.
