About us

The Change Foundation is an award-winning charity that uses sport to change the lives of marginalised young people. We deliver targeted long-term interventions for the most vulnerable young people through Coach Mentors with lived experience, providing regular sport, personalised mentoring and work-related opportunities.

Deliver - we deliver targeted sport for social change programmes for the most vulnerable young people through Coach Mentors with lived experience.

Innovate - we design programmes with young people, using creative methodologies and testing ideas by delivering 6-12 month pilot programmes.

Inspire - we work with other charities, employers and corporate organisations and create bespoke solutions to extend the power and reach of our programmes for maximum social impact.

Guided by young people, our listening process has directed us to deliver sports programmes that focus on these social issues affecting young people today:

  • Knife crime and serious youth violence
  • Social media influence and addiction
  • Youth unemployment for vulnerable young people
  • Disability inclusion and creating equal opportunities
  • Mental health issues and developing coping mechanisms

We exist to help young people find solutions to deal with these social issues through the power of sport.

Everything we do at Olly’s Future is in memory of Olly Hare who lost his life to suicide, aged 22, on 14th February, 2017.

Our vision is a world where no young person loses their life to suicide.

We are a national charity providing suicide prevention training and initiatives to medical students and health professionals that help them save more lives from suicide.

We also equip teachers, police, GP practices, councils and companies, with the skills to help someone who is thinking of suicide and signpost them to help.

We run MENtal Health Open Mic Nights for young people at colleges and universities.

We also promote well-being through the arts, and host the St Martin in the Fields annual service for those affected by suicide.
