Raising for Pussycat Lodge
We have been rescuing and rehoming cats and kittens from our current site in the Brentwood area for over 25 years, rehoming over 300 local cats every year and providing a safe haven for cats in desperate need of help.
After 25 years on the same site, we now have to move the PCL rescue centre by the end of 2025. That means finding, funding and moving the rescue to a new site over the next 18 months.
Without a rescue centre we won’t be able to continue our vital work and so we’re committed to finding a new site and continuing to save the lives of the hundreds of cats every year that need our help.
Whilst this is a big challenge it’s also an exciting change and gives us the opportunity to take PCL into the next chapter.
We will update the target as we move through the different steps.

Celia is also on the Thank You list (as our fundraising lead) as she has banked another brilliant amount from her "world famous" quiz and the sale of a few bits - £650 would you believe. Thank You.
The second of our Thank You's! goes to Maggio Lounge yet again for another donation, this time of £226 raised during their musical bingo night. They said they would support us and they really are being true to their word!
We have a few thank you messages to pass tonight, firstly to Malcolm and Dr Susan North from Ramsden Heath who have made a £250 donation to our home moving pot. Thank you from everyone at PCL and from the cats!
This is becoming a weekend of Thank Yous! £110 has been raised by Maggio Lounge in Billericay High Street who held a Breakfast with Santa last Saturday and a further £381.86 was raised by "Team PCL" and the Maggio Lounge team selling wares and hot drinks at the Billericay Christmas Market. The pot keeps growing!

Pussycat Lodge (PCL) was established over 25 years ago and has since been a focal point for a local group of hard working and dedicated volunteers. We rescue cats primarily across the Brentwood, Basildon, Castle Point, and Chelmsford Boroughs in South Essex.
