Raising for Pussycat Lodge
We have been rescuing and rehoming cats and kittens from our current site in the Brentwood area for over 25 years, rehoming over 300 local cats every year and providing a safe haven for cats in desperate need of help.
After 25 years on the same site, we now have to move the PCL rescue centre by the end of 2025. That means finding, funding and moving the rescue to a new site over the next 18 months.
Without a rescue centre we won’t be able to continue our vital work and so we’re committed to finding a new site and continuing to save the lives of the hundreds of cats every year that need our help.
Whilst this is a big challenge it’s also an exciting change and gives us the opportunity to take PCL into the next chapter.
We will update the target as we move through the different steps.

We found out today that Olive Noble was kind enough to make provision in her will for Pussycat lodge today, RIP Olive - your gift will make a difference to the PCL cats!
A huge thank you to Olga Wedmid for her extremely generous donation of £10,000, which has also pushed our total raised, well over the £200,000 mark! Olga has always had rescue cats and has a special place in her heart for Pussycat Lodge.
Celia today passed £250 into the account from Janice Northcott who sadly passed away. She was a lovely lady, a fundraiser for Cats Protection Southend but always supported my events. xx - Her sister made sure the money got to where she's asked for it to go which is a lovely thing to do.
Tonight we have another £150 paid into the bank thanks to @callumthejeweller for making and selling a beautiful amethyst pendant with a gem donated by another of our lovely supporters (thankyou Sue 😘) - A very big thankyou too, to Teresa for buying it. What wonderful supporters we have ❤️

Pussycat Lodge (PCL) was established over 25 years ago and has since been a focal point for a local group of hard working and dedicated volunteers. We rescue cats primarily across the Brentwood, Basildon, Castle Point, and Chelmsford Boroughs in South Essex.
