Trustees unite to trek the entire length of Zimbabwe!
Event dates: Saturday 1st June – Sunday 30th June
The why?
Zimkids Trustees in both Zimbabwe & the UK have decided it's time to STEP UP and compete in a joint sponsorship challenge to boost our funds. Leaders Blessing (Zim) & Lauren (UK) are also joining in the trek to keep their Trustees on course!
The Challenge
We aim to virtually trek the ENTIRE LENGTH OF ZIMBABWE - KARIBA TO BEITBRIDGE in just FOUR weeks, 1st June - 30th June 2024.
The distance is 896 kilometres (556 miles) and each Trustee can walk, run, cycle or swim the distance. This is a big challenge for many reasons not least the fact the group spans in age from 20 something to 70 something!!
Can you give us a boost of confidence by sponsoring us - every amount helps transform lives in Zimbabwe...

We are so close to finishing our trek, have have now arrived in Rutenga - 105km from the finish line in Beitbridge. Thank you so much for the donations so far - final push for the last bit!

Big news - our Trustees have been virtually trekking the entire length of Zimbabwe and have just cut the challenge time in HALF! We now have just 10 days left to complete the final 269km to arrive in Beitbridge and complete the challenge!

Good morning all! A little update from our trekkers, they have arrived in Karoi, their first pit stop...
Imagine them, if you will, having collectively travelled 124km in the heat (the UK is also warm right now!) as they stop for a cold glass of Mazoe and a boiled egg. If you know, you know.
