About us
Greek Animal Rescue (GAR) is a UK based charity (No:802243).
Founded in 1989 in order to alleviate the suffering of animals in Greece by supporting a number of animal shelters, sterilising dogs & cats and finding homes for the lucky few.
Saving Valentino from Amfissa
We're raising emergency funds to help seriously injured hound, Valentino, who was found by charity trustee, Diane Chapman, inside the Amfissa Municipality Shelter, less than 48hrs from death.
With your help, we are giving him immediate emergency veterinary care, and will transfer him to Athens when he's well enough to receive more specialist care and recuperation, before finally finding him a loving forever home in the UK.
