Help Wallace Walk Without Pain!

Meet Wallace, a 7-year-old sable and white long-coated Collie with a heart as big as his beautiful coat. Wallace came into our care under heartbreaking circumstances—his owner was being made homeless and, despite her love for him, could not find a place that would accept dogs.

Wallace is a gentle, friendly boy who has stolen the hearts of everyone he meets. He is housetrained, travels well in cars, and behaves wonderfully when left alone. On walks, he’s a joy—calm and content to ignore other dogs. While he’s been fine with visiting children as young as four, we believe Wallace would be happiest in a home with children aged 10 and above, where he can relax and enjoy his golden years.

However, Wallace is facing a serious challenge. He has confirmed cruciate damage to both knees, and without treatment, he will suffer from premature arthritis and chronic pain.
Wallace has three options:

1️⃣ Do nothing – This would lead to pain and immobility.
2️⃣ Lateral suture surgery – Costing £1,500 per knee, but with the risk of rupturing again.
3️⃣ Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) – The gold-standard surgery, costing £2,500 per knee with our vet. This would give Wallace the best chance at a pain-free, active life.

To give Wallace the life he deserves, we’re planning to proceed with TPLO surgery for one knee, followed by surgery on the other in approximately three months. The total cost will be £5,000, and we urgently need your help to make this happen.

How You Can Help

Please consider donating to Wallace’s surgery fund. Every pound brings us closer to giving this wonderful dog the chance to enjoy his walks without pain.

  • Donate on this fundraising page, thank you
  • Share Wallace’s story with your friends and family.
  • Host a fundraising event or activity to support Wallace.

Wallace has endured so much already, and with your support, we can ensure his future is filled with comfort, happiness, and plenty of tail wags. Thank you for making a difference in his life.
