About us

IMECE Women’s Centre stands against all forms of violence against women and girls. We support and empower Turkish, Kurdish and Cypriot Turkish women and Black, Asian, minority ethnic, refugee (BAMER), and migrant women to improve the quality of their lives. Established in 1982, IMECE Women’s Centre is a women-only space.

We believe BAMER women’s needs are multi-faceted and intersectional. We therefore adopt a holistic approach to service delivery where we aim to achieve the most positive impact possible by responding to women’s practical, social, emotional, intellectual, financial, and aspirational needs simultaneously.

WE ARE NOT ALONE!

Event dates: Thursday 7th March – Monday 1st April

On 8th March, International Women's Day, let's unite to stand against all forms of violence against women and girls!

Imece Women's Centre is a specialist ‘by and for’ Black and minoritised women’s organisation challenging women’s inequality. We deliver holistic support services which support women to assert and enjoy their rights and achieve their aspirations.

YOUR KINDNESS , MAKES A DIFFERENCE

  • could help to domestic abuse survivor women and children who are forced to start with nothing.
  • could help us continue offering the support and guidance that can make the difference between remaining in an abusive relationship or finding safety.

Any gift you make will support our services.

Here is some ways your donation can make a difference:

£5 per month: Could cover client’s travel cost to an advice and advocacy session.

£10 per month: Could provide emergency food to women fleeing violence.

£20 per month: Could provide 1-to-1 counselling sessions to women to explore the impact of violence on their lives, in a safe, non-judgemental, confidential and women centred space.

£50 per month: could provide essentials, such as toiletries, food and clothing for women and children arriving at a safe accommodation to get through the first night

HELP US TO BE THERE FOR EVERY WOMEN WHO NEEDS US!
