We are a registered charity working across Greater Manchester to improve the homes and lives of older and disabled people. Our aim is to increase people's independence and improve their quality of life. Our work is varied, ranging from practical support with home repairs to information and guidance on a wide range of issues.
Winter Appeal 2024 - Manchester Care & Repair Casework Service
It is estimated that more than 8,000 eligible older people in Manchester are not claiming Pension Credit and the Winter Fuel Payment they need to stay warm this winter.
Many people feel anxious about the application process, embarrassed to apply, or don’t realise they’re eligible. Our Case Workers help people apply and navigate the system at a time when they're most vulnerable and worried about bills, their health and their homes.
Sadly, this service is at risk - which is why we need to raise £25,000 to keep it running and help more people get their Winter Fuel Payment back.
