Women's Projects with CEEACO

Quaker Congo Partnership UK provides seed corn grants to women’s groups in Abeka and Kikongo in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The women aim to generate some income by growing vegetables , making juice and by breeding goats. Other women are carrying out sewing and making soap.  The produce and the crafts are sold so giving women a small income. QCP provides small amounts of money for tools and equipment. They are keen to do more: there is a request for more sewing machines and money for fencing, irrigation, a storage space for produce and a better workshop for soap production.
