About us
Childhood Eye Cancer Trust is the only UK charity solely dedicated to helping and supporting those affected by retinoblastoma. We do this through our three key pillars:
-Support for all. We provide a lifeline for those who need us by offering guidance, emotional support and practical advice from diagnosis, during treatment and throughout the lives of those affected. We ensure we are there for those who need us every step of the way.
-
Funding research. We fund pioneering research into projects that will improve our understanding of retinoblastoma, including the patterns of disease and develop kinder effective treatments, with fewer side effects, that preserve more vision.
-
Raising awareness. Early detection of retinoblastoma is critical. We work tirelessly to raise awareness amongst the general public and healthcare professionals about the signs and symptoms of this cancer to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.
Help us to continue to deliver lifelong support to those who need us; drive early diagnosis and understanding; and reduce the negative impact of retinoblastoma.

Lambeth Palace CHECT Open Day
Event date:
Step inside history, connect with the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, and experience the heart of Lambeth Palace on 29th August 2025.
To mark 10 years of opening Lambeth Gardens to the public, this year you will be invited to enter the palace itself and explore the history of the home of the Archbishops of Canterbury.
Tickets are sold in 15-minute timeslots. Choose your preferred entry and number of tickets.
100% of your ticket purchase will directly support the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust. As a small charity we receive no regulatory or government funding for any of the support we provide, meaning we are completely reliant on the generosity of our supporters such as yourselves to enable us to continue our work.
The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust is the only UK charity that supports any one affected by retinoblastoma, a rare from of eye cancer affecting children and babies under the age of six. Your support will help us to continue to offer support to 100% of families who have had a child diagnosed with retinoblastoma in the UK, to deliver emotional, practical, and financial help, and to fund vital research into the prevention and treatment of this rare cancer.
