Connected Parents Antenatal - Nov-Dec 25

Event date:

What makes this course different?

Connected Parents is all about connection — not only learning about birth and feeding, but connecting with:
🤝 Other local families – build your village before your baby arrives
❤️ Your birth partner – so you feel prepared together
📍 Your community – signposting to local support and resources
👩‍⚕️ Your healthcare team – learning how to communicate your wishes
🌱 Yourself – time to reflect on what matters most to you and your family

But what really sets Connected Parents apart is us—Jo and I, and the way we teach.
Between us, we’ve supported hundreds of families through pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood. We’re bringing together our own tried-and-tested course formats, blending my Birth Prep in a Box approach with Jo’s antenatal breastfeeding preparation course materials.

Practical, real-world preparation.
A relaxed, supportive space.
Plenty of time for discussion, questions, and real conversations.

This isn’t a ‘sit and listen’ kind of course—and there are no awkward icebreakers! Instead, we’ve designed it to feel welcoming, informal, and genuinely useful so you leave feeling more confident, more informed, and better connected to your baby, your support network, and yourself.

What’s covered in the 6 weeks?

Week 1: Birth Preparation – setting the scene (led by Sarah)
Week 2: Birth Preparation – your options & toolkit (led by Sarah)
Week 3: Hypnobirthing & birth partner role (led by Sarah)
Week 4: Preparing to Breastfeed – what helps it go well (led by Jo)
Week 5: Preparing to Breastfeed – common experiences & support (led by Jo)
Week 6: Postnatal Planning – life with your newborn (led by Jo)

Each session will be a gentle mix of practical tools, conversations, visual resources and space for your own reflections. You will be given a box of 57 Birth Prep In A Box flashcards to support your ongoing learning and planning, an 8 page birth plan writing guide, and access to our fully comprehensive Birth Preparation & Hypnobirthing online course.

You will leave each session feeling more informed, more confident, and more connected—to your birth partner, your baby, and yourself. With practical tools you can actually use, real conversations, and a supportive space to reflect, you'll gain the knowledge and reassurance to navigate birth, feeding, and early parenthood in a way that feels right for you.

And at the end of the course, you will feel prepared, supported, and ready to welcome your baby—knowing you have a strong foundation, a toolkit of practical skills, and a community around you.

When does it take place?

This is a 6 week course, starting on Wednesday 5th November 6-9pm , repeating every week, and finishing on Wednesday 10th December.
