Some health and safety points for the visit:
Please do not touch any of the animals until you have received your safety briefing at the start of the tour.
Please note that there is no smoking permitted anywhere onsite.
Public dogs are not allowed onsite for animal safety.
Hands must be washed with liquid soap and water after interactions with animals. Hand sanitiser is no substitute for proper hand washing. With any animal contact, there is a risk of zoonotic disease transmission such as E.Coli and Crytospirdium, so please be aware of the risk of these gastrointestinal infections. This is especially important for immunocompromised visitors. Handwashing with soap at our hand washing station after contact with animals or before leaving can limit these risks.
We request that when in an animal contact area or after animal contact, you do not eat, touch your face or smoke. As soon as you leave these areas, please wash your hands taking note of the instructions in the area. Children must be supervised at all times.
Please be aware that there is uneven ground around the site. We have had some wet weather, so we just wanted to remind you to make sure you dress appropriately with suitable footwear. We recommend that you bring waterproof clothing and footwear with a good grip. There will be a boot/wellington wash at the entrance. The sanctuary tour is an outdoor event and paths may become muddy due to the farm environment.
